NetherRealm Studios unveils gameplay footage for Mortal Kombat 1's upcoming DLC guest character, the T-1000, and announces Madam Bo as a new Kameo fighter.
The T-1000's gameplay showcases a range of attacks reminiscent of Terminator 2, including blade and hook arm maneuvers. His fighting style incorporates elements similar to Baraka and Kabal, culminating in a liquid metal transformation and a Glacius-esque uppercut. Robert Patrick, the original T-1000 actor, provides voice and likeness, featured in a confrontation with Johnny Cage. A highlight is a Fatality re-enacting the iconic Terminator 2 truck chase scene.
Simultaneously, NetherRealm surprised fans by announcing Madam Bo, a popular character from the base game's storyline, as a DLC Kameo fighter. Brief gameplay glimpses show Madam Bo assisting the T-1000.
The T-1000 will be available via early access for Khaos Reigns owners on March 18th, with general release on March 25th. Madam Bo launches on March 18th as a free update for Khaos Reigns owners or a standalone purchase.
The T-1000 concludes the Khaos Reigns DLC character roster, following Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Ghostface, and Conan the Barbarian. Speculation persists regarding potential future DLC packs, fueled by the game's sales performance. However, Warner Bros. Discovery's commitment to the Mortal Kombat franchise remains strong, with plans to significantly invest in only four key titles, including Mortal Kombat.
