UniqKiller: A Customizable Top-Down Shooter Heading to Mobile and PC
Making waves at Gamescom Latam, UniqKiller, developed by Sao Paulo-based HypeJoe Games, is a top-down shooter emphasizing extensive character customization. The game's yellow booth was a popular attraction at the event, with demos consistently drawing crowds.

HypeJoe aims to differentiate UniqKiller in the crowded shooter market through its unique isometric perspective and deep customization options. While the top-down view offers a fresh angle, the real draw is the extensive character customization. Players create and personalize their "Uniqs," unlocking further customization options—including skills and combat styles—through gameplay.
The focus on individuality extends beyond aesthetics. HypeJoe intends to provide players with the freedom to tailor their Uniqs' abilities to their preferred playstyle.

UniqKiller features multiplayer modes, including Clan Wars and special events, designed to foster a sense of community. The developers also prioritize fair matchmaking to ensure balanced gameplay for players of all skill levels.
Targeting mobile and PC platforms, UniqKiller is slated for a closed beta in November 2024. Keep an eye on Pocket Gamer for updates on the full release and potential interviews with the HypeJoe team.
