As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the final week, dubbed Final Strike: GO Battle Week, is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through to May 27th. This week marks the culmination of your journey with Kubfu, offering the chance to evolve it into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.
To unlock the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style during Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon instead. This exciting evolution path adds a strategic layer to your gameplay, allowing you to choose the form that best suits your battling style.
Additionally, a Special Research will continue the ongoing Seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This research will reward you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background, enhancing your Pokémon GO experience.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can participate in six-star Max Battles featuring the debut of Gigantamax Machamp. This event comes with several bonuses to enhance your gameplay:
- You'll need to travel only one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles.
- The cap for Max Particle storage increases to 1,600.
- All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, and you'll receive 8× Max Particles from them during this window.
- You'll also be able to perform two extra Special Trades.
Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms during this event. These items temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple Max Mushrooms to extend the duration of the effect, although the power boost remains constant.
