If you've been eagerly awaiting the next chapter in Warframe's narrative, the wait is finally over. Warframe: 1999 has launched, bringing with it four new mission types and a host of exciting developments. Dive into a gripping single-player Quest or get acquainted with the 59th Warframe, Cyte-09, among other thrilling additions.
In this latest update, you'll journey back to an alternate 1999, where you'll defend the city of Höllvania against the Scaldra army and the menacing Techrot infestation. The 59th Warframe, Cyte-09, offers a unique advantage by allowing you to see through walls and take down unsuspecting enemies. Additionally, you can experiment with the new assault rifle, Reconifex, and the secondary pistol, Vesper 77.
These new elements are integrated into the Höllvania City environment missions. Whether you're racing through a relay with your frenemies in the PvPvE Faceoff or protecting the Hell-Scrubbers from Techrot corruption in Hell-Scrub, there's no shortage of action.
According to Rebecca Ford, Creative Director, "Our venture into the ‘what if’ Y2K scenario of 1999 has been a passion project for so many of us. We’ve done everything we can to pack this update with romance, music, action, and, most importantly, core Warframe gameplay."
Warframe is also collaborating with Balatro for a mayhem-filled event, so don't miss out on the new Friends of Jimbo 3 update if you enjoy chaotic deckbuilding.
These updates are just the beginning of what's in store for you. If you're eager to join the fun, you can download Warframe from Google Play or the App Store. For more information, visit the official website or watch the embedded clip above to get a sense of the game's atmosphere.
