Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s First Public Test Server Goes Live, Update 7.0 Patch Notes Reveal Huge Changes

Author : Jack Mar 14,2025

The public test server for *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2* is now live, offering an early glimpse at Update 7.0. Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive have released preliminary patch notes, emphasizing that the final version may differ due to ongoing bug fixes. This PTS (PC only) update is packed with new content.

Update 7.0 introduces a thrilling new PvE mission, "Exfiltration," and a potent new secondary weapon: the Inferno Pistol, available to Vanguard, Sniper, and Heavy classes. Endgame PvE players will appreciate the addition of prestige ranks, and PvP players can now enjoy private lobbies. Customization options expand significantly with new colors (Volupus Pink and Thousand Sons Blue), Bulwark cloth and hand recoloring, and a 50% increase in PvP customization rewards. New Champion skins are also added: an Imperial Fists Champion for the Tactical class and a Space Wolves Champion for the Vanguard class.

A major gameplay change affects PvE weapon arsenals; all classes now have access to a wider selection of weapons. Notably, the Assault class can finally wield the Power Sword without modifications. The update also addresses a persistent issue on the Inferno Operation: players reaching the assembly area will now automatically teleport lagging teammates after a short delay, preventing griefing.

Following recent teases of Horde mode and a response to community concerns about live service elements, these updates reflect Saber Interactive's commitment to expanding *Space Marine 2*'s content.
