Letterlike: A Roguelike Word Game That's Surprisingly Addictive

Word game enthusiasts, rejoice! A new roguelike word game, Letterlike, has arrived, blending elements of Balatro and Scrabble. This unique combination of vocabulary and roguelike randomness is a fresh take on the genre.

How to Play Letterlike

Letterlike's roguelike nature ensures each playthrough offers a unique challenge with procedurally generated letter sets and obstacles. Your objective? Create words, earn points, and conquer levels. Each level features three rounds, each with five attempts (lives). Strategic word creation is key to accumulating enough points to advance.

Feeling stuck with unhelpful letters? You can discard some, but these discards are limited, so choose wisely. A handy rearrange mode allows you to manipulate letters for optimal word construction.

The final round of each level introduces a twist: certain letters become useless, yielding zero points.

Earned points and rewards can be invested in power-ups to enhance future game sessions. Some boosts are automatically applied, while others unlock at specific levels. Collected gems also provide access to powerful upgrades, streamlining subsequent playthroughs.

Worth a Try?

Letterlike offers simple, minimalist gameplay, yet remains surprisingly engaging. The game allows replaying specific runs with friends using shared seeds – perfect for sharing those frustrating letter combinations!

The game is ad-free with a one-time purchase and offers offline play. A free demo version is also available, allowing you to experience the game before committing to a purchase. Find Letterlike on the Google Play Store and give the demo a try!
