This exploration quest is action-packed with numerous battles. Begin your adventure at the foot of the ruins south of Shores of Last Breath, where you'll encounter a broken Lumiscale Construct on the floor. Your objectives are as follows:
- Charge three steles in the marked areas.
- Return to and defeat the Lumiscale Construct.
- Chase after the Lumiscale Construct.
- Defeat the Lumiscale Construct.
- Defeat the Dragon of Dirge.
Charging the Steles
The Discipline Steles on the quest-marked altars will charge as long as you remain within the glowing circle at the center. Be vigilant, as any enemy intrusion into this circle will disrupt the charging process. Quickly eliminate these threats to maintain efficiency. Remember, stepping out of the altar's range for too long will cause the energy to deplete.
With the 2.0 update enhancing elemental damage and their status effects, leverage these improvements during combat to gain an edge. For the third set of steles, you'll need to reposition them before enemies start appearing. If you struggle to interact with the broken steles, adjust your character and camera angles until the interaction prompt appears.
Chase and Defeat the Lumiscale Construct
Returning to the starting area via the Wingray, unleash your most powerful Resonators on the Lumiscale Construct. Once its health drops sufficiently, a cutscene will initiate, prompting you to pursue it deeper into the ruins.
As you chase the construct, the environment becomes increasingly hostile with falling debris and lightning strikes. Clear out any adversaries in your path and brace for a final confrontation with the Lumiscale Construct, where you can decisively defeat it.
The Dragon of Dirge
The Dragon of Dirge is a formidable foe capable of stunning or even one-shotting your characters if you're not cautious. Be wary of its breath and falling star attacks, and aim to stagger it quickly. The key to victory lies in dodging its major attacks and seizing opportunities to stun it.
Upon defeating the dragon, you'll complete the quest and unlock the rest of Shores of Last Breath. This includes access to all Dream Patrols in the area and the challenging Nightmare Tempest Mephis, located in the large arena at the northern tip of the peninsula.
