Best Marvel Snap Lasher Decks Unveiled

As the Marvel Rivals season in Marvel Snap draws to a close, a remnant from October's We Are Venom season is up for grabs by completing the returning High Voltage game mode. But is this new symbiote card worth the effort?

How Lasher Works in Marvel Snap

Lasher is a 2-Cost card with 2 Power and an ability that reads: Activate: Afflict an enemy card here with negative Power equal to this card’s Power.

At its base, Lasher inflicts -2 Power on an opposing card unless enhanced. With numerous buff options available in Marvel Snap, Lasher holds more potential than previous free cards like Agony or King Etri.

For example, using Namora can boost Lasher to 7 Power, or even 12 Power if reactivated with Wong or Odin, effectively making him a 14 or 24 Power play. Lasher also pairs exceptionally well with the season pass card Galacta.

Remember that Lasher is an Activate card, so you must draw and play him by turn 5 at the latest to maximize his potential.

Best Lasher Decks in Marvel Snap

While it may take time for Lasher to find his niche, one strong meta deck with buff options is Silver Surfer. Although this deck usually has limited space for 2-Cost cards, activating Lasher on the final turn can create significant power swings. Here’s the list:

Nova Forge Lasher Okoye Brood Silver Surfer Killmonger Nakia Red Guardian Sebastian Shaw Copycat Galacta: Daughter of Galactus

The top end of this deck includes expensive Series 5 cards: Red Guardian, Sebastian Shaw, Copycat, and Galacta (if you didn’t purchase the season pass). However, all except Galacta can be replaced with other solid 3-Cost options like Juggernaut or Polaris.

Lasher serves as a great third target for Forge, although you’ll typically prioritize Brood or Sebastian Shaw. Yet, after playing Galacta on turn 4, buff options often run low in such a deck, making Lasher a valuable pick. With Galacta’s help, a 2-Cost, 5-Power Lasher that inflicts -5 Power effectively becomes a 10-Power swing, with no extra energy required on the final turn.

Otherwise, this is a fairly standard Silver Surfer list that allows room for experimentation. Notable exclusions include Absorbing Man, Gwenpool, and Sera.

I see Lasher fitting best here, as it’s the current meta deck with the most hand and board buffs. He might also appear in affliction decks that don’t focus on buffing him, but I expect experimentation with Namora as the primary buff card.

Agony Zabu Lasher Psylocke Hulk Buster Jeff! Captain Marvel Scarlet Spider Galacta: Daughter of Galactus Gwenpool Symbiote Spider-Man Namora

This is a very expensive deck, relying on several essential Series 5 cards: Scarlet Spider, Galacta, Gwenpool, Symbiote Spider-Man, and Namora. Jeff can be swapped for Nightcrawler.

If you have all these cards, this deck can be highly potent. It focuses on using Galacta, Gwenpool, and Namora to buff cards like Lasher and Scarlet Spider, which then activate and distribute power across the board. Zabu and Psylocke help play 4-Cost cards earlier, while Symbiote Spider-Man can reactivate Namora. Jeff! and Hulk Buster offer backup and flexibility if your draws aren’t ideal.

Is Lasher Worth Playing High Voltage For?

As Marvel Snap becomes more resource-intensive, Lasher is definitely worth earning if you have time to grind High Voltage. It’s a quick game mode offering various rewards before you unlock him. Be sure to complete the challenge missions that refresh every 8 hours. He may not become a meta staple, but like Agony, you’ll likely see him in several competitive decks.
