CD Projekt RED has recently rolled out an exciting update for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing not just a slew of fixes but also integrating cutting-edge NVIDIA technology. This update marks a significant enhancement for players, especially those with GeForce RTX graphics cards.
A standout feature of this update is the introduction of DLSS 4 support. Starting January 30th, owners of GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards will benefit from the ability to generate multiple extra frames, enhancing their gaming experience. Moreover, DLSS 4 accelerates the creation of an additional frame on both RTX 50 and 40 series cards, all while using less memory. This means smoother gameplay and more efficient performance for users.
For all GeForce RTX graphics card owners, the update offers a choice between the convolution neural network model and the new transform model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA. Opting for the transform model promises improved lighting, enhanced detail, and more stable images, elevating the visual quality of the game.
The update also addresses several technical issues. Interference and crashes that occurred on in-game screens when DLSS ray reconstruction was enabled have been resolved. Additionally, the "Frame Creation" parameter now updates correctly after resolution scaling is turned off, ensuring a seamless gaming experience.
Key Changes in Update 2.21 for Cyberpunk 2077:
- Fixed a bug that prevented players from talking to some vendors.
- Resolved an issue where the sound of TV news programs was missing or too quiet.
- Corrected a bug that caused Johnny to appear in the passenger seat less frequently than intended.
- Addressed a glitch that made some items disappear when the player used the ability to hide people around them.
- Fixed a freezing issue that occurred when entering photo mode and simultaneously opening a closet or stash.
- In Photo Mode, players can now position Nibbles and Adam Smasher in the frame even if Vee is in the air or water.
- Enhanced the feature that changes Adam Smasher's facial expressions for a more dynamic interaction.
This update not only improves the technical aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 but also enriches the gameplay experience with new features and fixes, ensuring players can dive deeper into the immersive world of Night City.
