ArtClash was built to help people build a daily habit of drawing, sketching, and cartooning.
This is an evolving project—the first game is ready, but more content is coming soon.
You can freely draw anything you like, or select a topic (or a series of topics), apply optional constraints like time limits, color restrictions, or canvas size, create your artwork, and earn points when others correctly guess what you drew!
This is a solo project, created for my wife and me to practice daily and to inspire others to do the same.
Current features:
• Paint – Sketch, Paint, and Blend colors
• Import images to use as references or paint over them
• Choose topics and constraints, draw them, and earn points for each correct guess
• Six difficulty levels for topics—ranging from single words to up to five words (nouns, verbs, places, time periods)
• Select from three optional constraints for bonus points: time, color count, or canvas size
• Free draw anything you imagine and share it with the community
• NSFW flag to optionally view images marked by others as Not Safe For Work
Known early access issues and bugs:
• Basic UI: The Unity interface is a work in progress and will eventually be replaced with XAML for better responsiveness
• On lower-end devices, it’s best to keep canvas sizes under 1024x1024. The GPU-accelerated brush engine may slow down with large canvases and small brushes. We plan to optimize brush performance after further testing.
Upcoming features:
• New games (starting with a drawing “telephone” game)
• Enhanced social features—custom avatars, comments on projects and completed games, friend and follow systems
• Improved UI and a faster brush engine (as noted above)
• Marquee selection and transform tools
• More brush options—support for custom brush textures and user-created/shared brushes
• Advanced layer system—including transparent pixel locking and layer masking
• Developer feedback system—request features, report bugs, and vote on upcoming changes
• Moderator roles—allowing trusted users to help review flagged content
• User-submitted topics and constraints—submit ideas that can be added after moderation
• Future support for full image editing, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping
Due to current performance limitations with large textures and the absence of advanced editing tools, this app is not yet a complete image editing suite—it is optimized for social challenges and artistic motivation.
